Racky Torres-Manalastas studied Visual Communication in UP College of Fine Arts where she was the class representative of the graduating batch. She then went to New York for further studies both in Parsons School of Design and New York School of Visual Arts. She had an internship with Fabien Baron, a renowned French director known for reinventing Italian Vogue, creative director of Harper’s Bazaar and Calvin Klein, and art director of Barneys in New York to name a few.
She came back home to the Philippines and worked for K2 Interactive, a local company with international offices in Hongkong, Malaysia and Singapore, where she worked her way up to becoming its Creative Director. She was then selected to lead BBDO Guerrero’s branding division, BrandLab. With her exposure to foreign and local multinational companies, it was the right time for her to set up her own brand consultancy office, Six Degrees, which she managed for six years. She now owns Whitewall Design Studio, a boutique design agency that has been around for five years already. She handles both local and international clients where she imparts the knowledge she has accumulated through her career. She keeps a lean team where relationships are cared for and built with a personal approach. Clients are treated like family where their needs are carefully planned and executed.
